So I’m still on this minimalist mission, which luckily has caught the attention of my wife and even she is starting to seek a life with less stuff, and more value.

We’re getting rid of so much stuff we never needed and it is leaving the house clean, open and light. I wanted to say organized as well, but the truth is if you don’t have lots of stuff laying around, then you don’t have to organize anything.

Apart from this minimalist vibe I’m on, I am really looking forward to some quality time with the wifey at our little peace of heaven coming at the end of November. Just the 2 of us.

Looking at this it got me thinking about what I really need. As me, as my own being in this place in this world, what do I need (or want) right now? So often we forget about ourselves and we tend to live so planned and structured that we forget about the here and the now, being present and answering the question: What do I need right here right now…

I need a break, I am tired, I need to go on holiday. I am hungry… I need  so get some food on the way home. I want to spend some time with friends I don’t see often enough. I want to sort out my entire music collection on my PC, I want to play Civilization: Beyond Earth. I want to go sit and watch a movie with my wife again, I want to get into the habit of going to the gym, I want to I want to I want to…

Obviously one cannot fulfill all of these at the same time, and some of them will pass and some new ones will pop up. The important thing is to listen to yourself… be there for yourself.
